Preschool Catechisms With Proofs


Instructions to parents or leaders:

  1. Gather kids together either at table or on the floor and tell them you are going to have a question/answer time. 
  2. Tell them you are going to ask this question, (give question) and they need to answer with this answer (give answer). “I say (question) and you say (answer)
  3. Make it fun. Do the question and answer at least three times in a row right then. 
  4. Next read to them the Scripture references that prove the question and answer are right 
  5. Review all past question/answers before you ask the new ones 

1st Week

 Question: Who made you?

 Answer: God

 Read: Psalm 100:3; Genesis 1:27 

2nd Week

 Question: What else did God make?

 Answer: God made all things.

 Read Acts 17:25; Colossians 1:16; Psalm 33:6-7

3rd Week

 Question: Why did God make you and all things?

 Answer: For His own glory.

 Read Acts 17:26-27; Revelation 4:11; Psalm 19:1; Isaiah 43:7 

4th Week

 Question: How can you glorify God? 

 Answer: By loving Him and doing what He commands.

 Read; John 14:15, John 6:29; Matthew 5:16 

5th Week

 Question: Why should you glorify God?

 Answer: Because He made me and takes care of me.

 Read: Psalm 23; Psalm 139:13-16 

6th Week

Question: Are there more gods than one? 

Answer: There is only one God.

Read: Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:6; Isaiah 45:5; Ephesians 4:5-6 

7th Week

Question: In how many persons does God exist?

Answer: In three persons.

Read: Genesis 1:26; Isaiah 6:8; John 14:23-26

8th Week

Question: What are the three persons of God?

Answer: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

9th Week

Question: What is God?

Answer: God is a spirit, and has not a body like men.

(This might bring a question about Jesus having a body. If it does share John 1:1-14 with them, and share how this truth makes what Jesus did so very special!)

10th Week

Question: Where is God? 

Answer: God is everywhere.

11th Week 

Question: Can you see God?

Answer: No; I cannot see God, but He always sees me.

Read: Hebrews 4:13; Jeremiah 16:17; Proverbs 15:3 

12th Week 

Question: Does God know all things?

Answer: Yes; nothing can be hid from God.

Read: John 16:30; John 21:17; Daniel 2:22 

13th Week 

Question: Can God do all things?

Answer: Yes; God can do all His holy will.

Read: Job 42:2; Matthew 19:26; Jeremiah 32:17 

14th Week 

Question: Where do you learn how to love and obey God?

Answer: In the Bible alone.

15th Week 

Question: Who wrote the Bible?

Answer: Chosen men who wrote by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

Question: Who were our first parents?

Answer: Adam and Eve.

17th Week

Question: Of what were our first parents made?

Answer: God made the body of Adam out of the ground, and formed Eve from the body of Adam.

Question: What did God give Adam and Eve besides bodies?

Answer: He gave them souls that could never die.

Question: In what condition did God make Adam and Eve?

Answer: He made them in His image and blessed them.

Questions: What is a covenant?

Answer: An agreement between two or more persons.

Question: What covenant did God make with Adam?

Answer: The covenant of works.

Question: Did Adam keep the covenant of works?

Answer: No, he sinned against God.

Question: What is sin?

Answer: Sin is anything we say, think, or do that is against God’s word.

Question: What was the sin of our first parents?

Answer: They listened to and believed the serpent instead of God.

Question: Who tempted them to this sin?

Answer: The devil tempted Eve and she gave the fruit to Adam

Question: Did God leave all mankind to perish in sin?

Answer: No, God sent a redeemer

Question: Who is the Redeemer that God sent?

Answer: Jesus is our Redeemer

Question: How did Jesus become our Redeemer?

Answer: He left heaven and became a man without sin
